Who We Are
Modern Electric is a family owned and operated Electrical construction company that operates primarily in the Northeastern Ohio area.
We provide electrical services mainly in the Summit, Portage and Medina counties which include the cities of Akron, Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Medina, Norton, and Stow.
What We Do
We are Licensed by the State of Ohio under License # 12513 as an Electrical Contractor and also licensed to install commercial Fire Alarm systems

The owner of Modern Electric is Brad Kingan.
Brad is a Third generation electrical contractor working in the city of Akron. His Grandfather R. O. Kingan came to Akron in the 1930's and was the first generation of Kingan's in the electrical business.
The Akron Electrical License shown is from 1934.
Brads Father J.R. Kingan was also an electrical contractor in Akron and that is where Brad learned all about electricity by working with his grandfather, his Father and his older brother.
Brad recieved his Electrical License in 1975 and now, 42 years later is fully qualified and will take the time to understand and meet your electrical needs. We take great pride in our work and treat any workspace like it's our own.
